There are few things in the world as satisfying as a savory, filling meal with plenty of history behind it! That’s why we’re huge fans of our new shepherd’s pie bites, which are a flavorful, pint-sized take on a traditional dish.

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, we’re trying out a tasty new recipe that features all of the hearty ingredients of a classic shepherd’s pie, but individually portioned.

Serve it alongside other innovative twists on tradition — like our corned beef sliders — and make these filling pies the star of your St. Paddy’s festivities.

To pull this recipe together, you’ll just need a few simple ingredients.

Like any variation on this recipe, you’ll want mashed potatoes, ground beef, and veggies. Pick something green (like peas) to make your pies really pop! Wrap all your layers up in pie crust, and you’re well on your way to creating a brand-new tradition to enjoy every March 17.
